Repository and Self-Archiving Policy

The Academic Science Journal (ASJ) supports the dissemination, visibility, and accessibility of published research through responsible repository deposit and self-archiving practices. Authors are permitted to share their published work in accordance with the journal’s open-access policy and the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Author Self-Archiving Rights

Authors may deposit and share the final published version of their article in:

  • Institutional repositories.
  • Subject-based repositories.
  • University or departmental websites.
  • Personal academic websites.
  • Researcher profile pages.
  • Non-commercial scholarly platforms.
  • Funding agency repositories, where required.

Authors may deposit the published article immediately after publication, provided that proper citation is given to the original publication in ASJ.

Version That May Be Archived

Authors may archive the following versions of their manuscript:

  • Preprint version: The version submitted before peer review.
  • Accepted manuscript: The version accepted after peer review but before final journal formatting.
  • Published version: The final version of record published by ASJ.

When sharing the accepted or published version, authors should clearly identify the version and provide a full citation and link to the article on the ASJ website.

Conditions for Self-Archiving

When depositing or sharing an article, authors must:

  • Provide full citation details of the published article.
  • Include the article DOI or permanent link, where available.
  • Identify ASJ as the original publisher.
  • Respect the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Articles published in ASJ are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This license allows users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, share, adapt, and reuse the published work, including for commercial purposes, provided that proper credit is given to the original author(s), the article title, the journal, and the publisher, and that a link to the license is provided. Any changes made to the work must also be clearly indicated.

Repository Deposit by Authors

Authors are encouraged to deposit their published articles in recognized repositories to improve discoverability, citation, and long-term accessibility.

Where required by funding bodies, institutions, or research organizations, authors may deposit their articles in the relevant repository in accordance with the journal’s open-access license and the repository’s policies.

Preprints

ASJ allows authors to post preprint versions of their manuscripts on recognized preprint servers before or during submission, provided that this is clearly disclosed at the time of submission.

If the manuscript is accepted and published in ASJ, authors should update the preprint record with a citation and link to the final published version.

Third-Party Material

Authors are responsible for ensuring that any third-party material included in the article, such as figures, tables, photographs, illustrations, maps, or screenshots, may be shared under the applicable license or with proper permission.

If third-party material is not covered by the article’s open-access license, authors should clearly indicate any reuse restrictions.

No Embargo Period

ASJ does not impose an embargo period on self-archiving. Authors may deposit the published version of their article immediately after publication.

Preservation and Access

Self-archiving supports the long-term preservation and accessibility of scholarly work. ASJ encourages responsible sharing of published articles in repositories and academic platforms while maintaining clear attribution to the original published version.
